TURN OFF THE GIANT PLASTIC TAP
With collaboration, Benjamin Von Wong, this photo series strikes to engage the end consumers of plastic into a social conscience to adapt ways of sustainable recycling of single-use plastic.
The fight for environmental justice is a thing of the past, present and future; that impacts humanity’s existence. This project documents the creation of one the biggest environmental justice art installation campaign by Benjamin Von Wong, an Artist/Activist, with the help of local community of Kibera slums, and meant for showcase to the entire world during the United Nations Environmental Assembly (UNEA 5.2) at UNEP headquarters, Nairobi.
Under the theme “Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals” up to 193 representatives of the United Nations Member states with addition to businesses, civil society and other stakeholders converged to agree on policies to address the world’s most pressing environmental challenges between February 28th and March 3rd 2022.
