QUEST FOR WATER; Nairobi's GOONS AND WEAKLINGS
The tendency to overlook other underlying issues during this pandemic period has increased while their impact is evidently becoming worse. Close to half of 4.5 million Nairobi residents, still, do not have direct access to piped water and have to rely on vendors and illegal connections orchestrated by a group of corrupt city water providers who work with community cartels to unlawfully limit and control water network. This project seeks to explore the daily state of a community trying to access and secure a basic need in a challenged neighborhood under the control of a few individuals who seek personal gains during these unprecedent times of a pandemic.
